 | Hobbit Series Goes the Distance, Minas Morgul Prevails Sunday, October 11th , 2048 Minas Morgul Slayers won a nail-biting series against the Lothlorien Lumberjacks 2-1, wrapping up the Hobbit Series finale 2-1 at Sylvan Cove. Slayers left fielder Keryth Belaldur was named the series MVP. He batted .455, drove in 6 runs and scored 1 to lead Minas Morgul into the next round of play. "Keryth was real solid for us, real solid," said Slayers manager Mimosa Willow. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Minas Morgul Slayers will play against the Dol Guldur Dragons in the next round. Dol Guldur had a bye in the Hobbit Series.
