 | Bywater Star Takes Triple Crown Monday, October 5th , 2048 It was a season to remember for Ferdinand *Puttifoot of the Bounders. The slugging third baseman led the Shire Conference in batting average at .340, home runs with 64 and runs batted in with 150 to win the Triple Crown. "I never made it a goal to win the Triple Crown," said *Puttifoot. "I try to have fun out there, hit the ball hard. The rest will take care of itself." The Triple Crown, one of the most difficult achievements to attain, now belongs to *Puttifoot. He is the 8th player to accomplish the feat. "Someday I'll be able to tell my grandchildren I won the Triple Crown," he noted. "How many players can say that?" |   |
